About the Illustrator
Seeba Alexander is an illustrator based in Canada. Working primarily with watercolour, pen and ink, and acrylic ink, her practice focuses on creating vibrant, detailed compositions that balance tradition with contemporary expression.
Drawing inspiration from her heritage, Art Nouveau influences, and personal experience, her work reflects a layered visual language that blends cultural memory with spiritual symbolism. Her illustrations can be described as classical aestheticism interwoven with narrative-driven, graphic storytelling.
Her work is defined by a strong attention to detail and a refined sense of colour, resulting in intricate and visually compelling pieces. Each piece is approached with intention, care, and a deep respect for the subjects she represents.
In addition to her art practice, Seeba also works as a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) in Edmonton. Her understanding of the human form extends beyond the visual, informing both her artistic and therapeutic approach.
